Just droppin a bit of everything here to satisfy your virgin ears. Hope you enjoy the vibe.

alarm clock

I haven't updated in a whole week, which is something that hasn't happened in a bloody long time. My apologies. To win back your favor, I'm going to dump a metric ton of music and videos on your sorry asses. Enjoy.

BSBTRGDCLUB- Ancient Tropic (Dooze Jackers remix)

Ah, Montreal love. Dooze Jackers sent this new remix of electro producers BSBTRGDCLUB's tune Ancient Tropic over to us, and we just had to share it with you. Dooze Jackers' high-octane hybrid of dutch house and tropical bass madness is getting them a lot of attention these days, and as long-time supporters, we're extremely stoked. This tune is somewhat rhythmically disjointed (and I mean that in a good way), but packs just enough heat to be qualified as a banger.

Darren Henlon- Punk's Not Dead

Punk's not dead...she's just gone to bed.

Awkward Australian indie folk for the win.

Ramadanman- Glut

I'm not even sure that you can still qualify this as dubstep. This is dance music with so much bass that it literally makes the ground tremble. Ramadanman is a huge force in the UK bass music scene, and all of his productions are top-notch. A-Trak even dropped one of his tunes on Sunday, and it was probably the most bass-heavy track of the whole evening.

And now on to the videos:

First of all, I've posted the brand new Die Antwoord video, Evil Boy. Not much to say here, honestly. The tune was produced by Diplo, and the video, well, was obviously directed by somebody with a mild case of psychosis.

Graffiti never gets talked about enough in hip-hop, which is surprising, considering how much hip-hop culture has co-opted its style and used it for its own gain. Dope rhymes, laid-back beat and nice footage of random bombing.

And finally, I'm going to bring back one of my favorite videos from last year, a one-take shot video by a bunch of college musicians for their final project. Refreshing sounds, decent lyrics and a fun video. What more do you want?

Nyle- Let the Beat Build

Peace!

Sun's out, SUIT UP

Just passing by before class to remind all of our readers that today is International Suit Up Day. Make us proud, dress proper and pick up a dame!

Drop The Lime - Hot As Hell (Club Mix) (removed as requested)
This is one bangin' song. Download it and don't ask any questions. Expect to hear the Canblaster remix in the near future, Drop The Lime plays that version in his sets.

G'day

As easy as ABC

Droppin' a quick post ; song by Consequence. This guy always has a sick flow & dope lyrics. He also has the chance to be Kanye West approved which means he get the VIP treatment... Mr. GOODfriday has once again produced a sick instrumental for him. It might not be a top 10 banger but I sure digg the vibe.

Consequence - Alphabet Boys (Prod By Kanye West)

Also, make sure to check out the official video for "Erase me" by Kid Cudi & Kanye West. Good stuff

enjoy,

Deja Vu

This is odd, I have the feeling something is a little bit off. A vague impression that this precise moment isn't one of a kind. No matter, on with the music

Tensnake - Coma Cat (Treasure Fingers Remix)
Treasure Fingers always delivers in my opinion and with a fabulous song like this it's hard to do wrong. I believe I've shared the original in the past, but if you missed it just go with the remix. There's still the same feel to this beauty, but I find it much more party friendly this way!

Autoerotique & SonicC - K*M*A (SonicC Dub Remix)
I wish I had seen SonicC in my life. Now MDMA shared this a few days ago, but I personally prefer the remix. It has a much more bass-pounding vibe to it, plus the lack of vocals give it that raw feel.  Anyways, a little remix never hurt anyone. My music library probably has a ratio of 75% remixes to 25% originals.

Shinichi Osawa & Paul Chambers - Singapore Swing (Style of Eye Remix)
Paul Chambers had that "Yeah, Techno!" back in May which got me turned on (especially when you have BeatauCue & Soulwax remixing). Shinichi Osawa had me all hot and bothered with his "EEAA" track. So logically, if you put these 2 together you'll get something real nice. Style of Eye just regulates the song by focusing on the stabby repetitive synths and adding a little something of their own.

Loose Cannons & Peo de Pitte - Tom Tom Song (Ruude Bullit Remix)
From what I've heard, if your a DJ and your at loss as to which song to play next, just drop this. Peo de Pitte is somewhat new to me, first checked him out when I came across a remix of "Riverside", which he destroys, hard. Definitely a name to keep an eye out for, you'll have to take Fake Blood's word on this one.

Huh... I still have the eerie impression that something just isn't right. A gut feeling that's trying to scream out to me: "You've done this before!", but for some reason the screams are muffled. I simply can't quite put my finger on why this exact moment seems like deja vu.

Laid Back Sunday #5

Bonjourno, here I am with Laid Back Sunday #5. Once again this post will be featuring some good laid back hip hop that you might have been sleeping on. Let the show begin.

Wale - Nike Boots
1st off with a classic. This is considered one of the first major single from Wale and in my opinion one of his best too. I also really dig the writing font they created for the single's cover. The "spacy" instrumental fits right in with Wale's buttery flow.

Living Legends - She Wants Me
I've talked a bit about the Living Legends crew in the past. This crew is composed of heavy lyricist such as : Sunspot Jonz, Bicasso, Aesop, Murs, Eligh, The Grouch, Luckyiam, Arata & Scarub. The track here called "She Wants Me" has a cool 8bit piano sampled instrumental and the crew delivers perfectly over it. The video is quite good also.

David Banner - Fakin' Azz Hoes ft. The Dogg Pound
I first heard this song off an old David Banner mixtape and immediately got hooked. It got released on the DPG's album right after which is a good thing. Crunk beat.

have a good day
